Ciema 4D Forum Challenge: The Bridge

 

The Bridge!
(from April 20th 2005 to May 20, 2005)


 

Bridge the gap!

Merriam-Webster defines a bridge as 1a: a structure carrying a pathway or roadway over a depression or obstacle; b: a time, place, or means of connection or transition. The challenge this time is to model a bridge according to the first definition, as a structre. You can chose any structure you want, from an elaborate sci-fi bridge to a simple wooden bridge over a small brook. Existing bridges are also allowed.

The challenge involves modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering a scene with at least one bridge of your choice. All Cinema plugins are OK to use, as are commercial textures, but no models that you haven't done yourself.

The Brooklyn Bridge
The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge
Tower Bridge
Bridges of Madison County

A couple of things to keep in mind:

Upload your entry (image and information) in the Cinema 4D forum (use the following message title: "My entry to the challenge"). After approval they will be included in this gallery. The members of the Cinema 4D forum will then vote for the winning entry.

Only one entry per member.

Time: from 20 April 2005 to 20 May 2005 (deadline is 16.00 CST (GMT -6))

Image size: 800 x 600 (portrait or landscape is your choice)
